- "Lady" --
Female, possible Malamute. Stray. Big girl, 75-80 pounds. Black, buff, and white, brown eyes. Not spayed. Showed up last winter, very timid. May have been abused by a man. Loves kids. Afraid of men. If you leash her, she throws herself on the ground and won't move. The people who found her can't keep her. For more information, contact Trudy Baumann, lakhota_11@msn.com,
509 684-1299.
- "Lacey" -- Female, seven years old. Beautiful and gentle. The owners feel that they are not spending enough time with her even though their two year old loves her. They feel that due to her energy level, she needs daily walks which they don't have time to give her. They don't want to put her in a foster home or a shelter, just find a family with more time for the dog. Lacey is a fence jumper and needs a home with a tall,
secure wood fence. She would do best in a home with another dog to play
with, but she ABSOLUTELY needs to be an indoor dog. She cannot be alone
and does NOT like being alone. She loves being with her
family. For more information, contact Miki McLean, turtlegal@hotmail.com
- "Yukon" --
Male, black and white, blue eyes, two and a half years old. Neutered. Had a run in with the owner's mother's cat which didn't turn out well. He is very friendly and loves to rough
house with the owner's other husky. Loves people, and was used, successfully, as a
skijoring partner last winter. For more information, contact Kirsten Anderson, kirsten@idahohikers.info
- Six Siberians needing homes. Owner has been put into an elder care facility. Two of the dogs are older, 12 to 14 years old. Their offspring are around ten years old. Lacking in shots and vet care. Current guardian will pu them down if a home is not found. For more information, contact Cynthia Hanning, customizedcareservices@comcast.net
- "Angel" --
Female, red and white, blue eyes, four years old. Spayed and current on shots. Needs a fenced back yard. Angel cannot be placed in a home
with cats because the owners suspect that Angel may have killed the neighbor's
cat, although she has never shown aggression before. For more information contact Joella Langford, Joella@PyxisRC.com, 253-227-6858. (She is not the owner, but a friend of the owner. The owners want to put the dog down!)
- "Nishka" -- Female, five years old. Spayed and microchipped. Will be current on shots shortly. Good health. Originally was the property of a college kid, much against his parents' wishes. Naturally, she ended up with them. She is an escape artist and has had some run-ins with the neighbors' dogs. She tries very hard to be good, she knows "gee" and "haw"
commands. Good with cats. She lives in the house when the owners are home. Travels well. She is very smart, only wants a
job or to play and explore and sometimes gets distracted in excitement and
temporarily goes deaf to their calls. For more information, contact Renee Amundsen, rcamundsen@wavecable.com, 1110 NE Paulson Rd., Poulsbo, WA 98370, 360-698-2780 Home, 360-396-2993 Work
